Who does wildlife removal in Brevard and Orange County?

Florida Trappers and Wildlife Rescue removes nuisance wildlife from homes and businesses in Brevard County and Orange County. That includes Melbourne, Palm Bay, Merritt Island, Cocoa, Titusville, Orlando, Winter Park, Winter Garden, and Apopka. If the address is in either county and is not named on a city page, call (321) 205-4972 and we will confirm it. The phone estimate is free.

Are you a licensed wildlife trapper in Florida?

Yes. Florida Trappers and Wildlife Rescue has held a Florida nuisance wildlife trapper permit since 2008. That permit is what FWC requires before several of these species can be trapped, and a bobcat cannot be trapped without it. Bats cannot be trapped at all. Proof of the permit and the insurance certificate is available on request.

What animals do you remove?

Raccoons, bats, squirrels, snakes, rats, mice, armadillos, skunks, foxes, coyotes, bobcats, and birds. A nest on a house is bird control. A parking deck, warehouse, or patio is commercial bird work. An HOA, a restaurant, or a multi-building site is commercial wildlife control. The service follows the animal and the building.

How do I get rid of raccoons in my attic?

Get the family out, then close every opening in steel. Raccoons are a rabies vector species, so a live animal can be released only in the county where it was caught, and only within 24 hours. We look for kits before we move an adult. Sealing the den while young are still inside is how a small attic job turns into a dead-animal odor. Heavy noise at dusk and dawn, plus a latrine in one corner, is usually a raccoon. Daytime running is more often a squirrel.

Can you remove bats from an attic in summer?

Only outside April 15 through August 15. In that window the pups cannot fly, and a one-way door would strand them. That exclusion is illegal statewide. During the season we inspect, map the gap they use at dusk, and set the valve for August 16. We do not trap bats.

How much does wildlife removal cost?

There is no flat rate. The number follows the animal, how many openings there are, whether the roof is steep or tile, and whether young are in the den. The phone estimate is free. The written quote comes after we have walked the shell. We do not price the job from a guess on the phone.

Do you seal the entry so the animal does not come back?

Yes. We remove the animal and close the opening. A trap takes the one that is here. It does not close the soffit, the fascia pull, or the vent the next one uses. Raccoons, squirrels, and rats return to a gap that still fits them. The seal is steel or hardware cloth, after the structure is clear, including young.

How fast can I get a wildlife removal estimate?

Call (321) 205-4972. Most requests get a call back within the hour during business hours: Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Emergency after-hours service is available by phone. The phone estimate is free.

Is it legal to trap wildlife myself in Florida?

On your own property, for some species, yes. The FWC rule does not relax because you did the trapping. Raccoons, foxes, and skunks can be released only in the same county, within 24 hours, or they are euthanized. Hauling one to another county is illegal. Bats cannot be trapped. A bobcat requires the nuisance wildlife permit. Most home sets also miss the young.

Do you handle HOA and commercial bird problems?

Yes. Commercial wildlife control covers the animal, the opening, and the paperwork a board or an inspector asks for. Commercial bird work is the structure: netting or spikes on a garage, a warehouse, a walkway, or a patio. Pigeons, starlings, and house sparrows can be excluded. A native bird with eggs or chicks cannot be disturbed.
