Snake Removal

Snake Removal in Brevard & Orange County, FL

Snake in the garage, pool cage, or yard? Send a photo from a safe distance — we identify first, then remove. Most Central Florida calls are non-venomous; venomous species get extra-caution gear.

Eastern diamondback rattlesnake coiled on pine needles

Florida has six venomous species (including cottonmouth, coral snake, and eastern diamondback) plus many harmless snakes that control rodents. Mis-ID leads to needless killing — or unsafe DIY handling.

Repeat snake visits often mean a rodent food source. We flag that during inspection so you're not calling every month.

Signs of a Snake Problem

  • Shed skin near foundations, garages, or attics.
  • Sighting in a garage, pool enclosure, woodpile, or dense landscaping.
  • Sudden drop in small rodent activity (active hunting).
  • Slither trails in sand, mulch, or garage dust.
  • Activity near ponds, canals, or retention areas.

Our Snake Removal Process

  1. Positive ID before capture — photo review by phone when safe.
  2. Capture with hooks/tongs and secure containment.
  3. Relocate non-venomous snakes away from the structure.
  4. Extra-caution protocol for confirmed venomous species.
  5. Recommend sealing gaps and addressing rodents that attract snakes.

How do I know if a snake is venomous?

You often cannot, and the old tests are wrong. Head shape, whether it swims, and the rhyme about colors will mislead you. Florida has six native venomous species: eastern diamondback, timber rattlesnake, dusky pygmy rattlesnake, cottonmouth, copperhead, and coral snake. Several harmless snakes mimic them. Photograph it from a distance and we identify it before anyone talks about removal.

Should I kill or move the snake myself?

No. Most bites happen while someone is trying to be helpful with a shovel or a stick. Keep people and pets back. We identify it, and a non-venomous snake is relocated rather than killed by default.

Why do I keep finding snakes near my house?

A snake at the foundation is usually following food, and the food is often rodents. On the inspection we look for droppings, burrows, and the gap the rodents are using. Removing the snake and leaving the rat trail is why you see another one.
